To get an Iphone 4 or not? That is the question!

So the iphone is on Verizon now no surprise. I am currently using my droid r2d2 which I love. The droid OS is smooth for the most part. I enjoy the google maps and speech to text capabilities built into the OS. But then I wonder does apple have something here? A simple smartphone interface. Even for those of us who like to tweak our systems just enough to keep them within the warranty? I mean is the iphone really worth 200 bucks considering you can go out and buy a newer phone from the 4G Line for 250 bucks? It seems to me the Thunderbolt or Charge would be a good upgrade for only 50 dollars more. One thing I have learned though in my short venture into the smartphone market is that there is a constant swirl of change. Whereas you can upgrade your PC about every 5 years you have to upgrade your phone almost as often as you have to buy toilet paper. It's what I like to call disposable technology. C'mon Verizon if you are going to charge us the same bloody price for the iphone at least give us some new perks. I mean hotspot to me is worthless since I am always on wi-fi. And with a 2 GB cap I would be paying the CEO's salary in data charges faster than you can say Pandora! Ahhh well I am technically 'Eligible" for an upgrade, doesnt mean that R2 won't keep me going for a good while longer. I always like the new gadgets, but it gets rather expensive after a while..
